After adding a System, you may add a Transmitter (Communicator) to that System.
Adding a Transmitter
- Click Add
- Enter the Transmitter Details
- Transmitter Number - Index number (Counting number, first is 1, second is 2, etc.) automatically generated by Manitou.
- Transmitter Description - Detailed description of the Transmitter. Some example descriptions are: "Digital Dialer TXID nnnn", "TXID number", and "Accounting Reference number". Enter this based on your company's business practices.
- Transmitter Type - Select the one that matches the signal type or translations you utilize. "DFLT"allows for any intelligent format to send signals based on the Event Maps.
- Receiver Line Prefix - Which Receiver, Dealer, or "DNIS" that matches this account?
- Transmitter ID - This is the Panel account number. Often 4 digits on traditional alarm panels. Non-traditional or XML panels may have different number and/or letter combinations.
- When necessary, select the Transmitter Test interval.
All other data is optional.
Transmitter Options
The Transmitter Options allow for Transmitter specific options.
- Generate Restore Overdue - Ensures that any events with a Restore Required will generate a Restore Overdue if not restored within the prescribed period of time.
- Any Activity Satisfies Test - Allows any real signal from the panel to satisfy the test period noted in the Transmitter Test Interval.
- Extended Signaling - Used only on older panels where two signals are required to create one event. This must be programmed on the transmitter programming to marry together the events.
- Regular Activity Expected - Used only when you do not have a Transmitter Test Interval but want to be sure to verify the account signals on a regular basis.
- Backup Transmitter - Flags this Transmitter as a backup for billing purposes.
- Do Not Use Dealer Programming - skips over any Events pointed to Dealer Action patterns.
- Raw Event Programming - Do not choose this for any new accounts. This is enabled to allow conversion accounts to signal in their legacy fashion. This is NOT RECOMMENDED for use in Manitou.
