You can group Action Patterns into Categories for better organization of the action patterns within Manitou. The following is a recommended category listing for Manitou.
- 01 - Fire Actions
- 02 - Medical Actions
- 03 - Panic/Holdup Actions
- 04 - Burglary Actions
- 05 - Fire Supervisory Actions
- 06 - General Trouble and Supervisory Actions
- 07 - Open/Close Actions
- 08 - System Actions
- 09 - Video Actions
- 10 - Post Processing Actions
- 97 - Multi-Use Actions
- 98 - Pre-production Actions
- 99 - Evaluation Actions
This allows the assignment of action patterns within their appropriate categories.
Create Action Pattern categories
- Launch the Supervisor Workstation
- Navigate to the Subtypes form - Found under the Maintenance Menu then Setup and Subtypes.
- Add the applicable groups.
- Save.
Applying the Categories to Action Patterns
When creating new Action Patterns users may choose the category under which it will reside. 
To move existing Action Patterns into a Category
- Open the Action Pattern in the appropriate record.
- Click Edit.
- Click the Arrow to navigate to the Action Pattern Details.
- Select the appropriate Group.
- Click Done.
- Save the record.
