Manitou - QR - Manitou Monitoring Types

This article details the different Monitoring Types that can be used to create billing services.

Monitoring Types are found within the Supervisor Workstation (SWS); Maintenance Itesm>Setup>Monitoring Types.  

Customer Level Monitoring Services

  • Report - Used for Scheduled Report intervals (Days, Weeks, Months).
  • Rotating Call List - Used to set Rotation intervals (days).
  • UL Service - Indicates the account has UL (part of the default database - applies when a grade is added to a customer record).
  • Other - Any other Customer Level Billable Service (be sure the descriptions differ).

System Level Monitoring Services

  • GPS/Location Monitoring - Location-based monitoring (part of the default database - applies when a grade is added to a customer record).
  • Event Monitoring - Types of monitoring done by the company.  The default is set to Alarms Only and Log Only.  If billing differently for local calls vs 1-800 calls, this is where the services would be added.
  • Access Control - Access control systems like Honeywell Winpak.
  • Other System - Any other System Level Billable Service.

Sub-System Level Monitoring Services

  • Audio Enabled - Audio events that are presented to Manitou.
  • Two-Trip Signal - Programming on a customer record utilizing the Transmitter Programming Command: TwoTrip.
  • Dual Signal - Programming on a customer record utilizing the Transmitter Programming Command: Dual.
  • Entry/Exit - Programming on a customer record utilizing the Transmitter Programming Command: EntryExit.
  • Fire Test Allowed - Signifies Fire Test events allowed on the customer record.
  • Guard Tour - Programming on a customer record utilizing the Transmitter Programming Command: Tour.
  • Reminder Service - Interval set on Reminders created on the Customer Systems form.
  • Video Enabled - Video events that are presented to Manitou.
  • Video Check-in - Check-in featuring Video.
  • Other - Any other Sub-System Level Billable Service.

Transmitter Level Monitoring Services

  • Backup Transmitter - Indicates a flagged transmitter is considered a backup for billing purposes.
  • Transmitter Test - Sets the differing Transmitter Test intervals.  Every transmitter with a test must have a service that matches that interval.
  • Overdue Restores - Applies when the "generate restore overdue" checkbox is selected on the Transmitters form within a customer record.
  • Monitored Transmission Path - Applies when the "Monitored Transmission Path" checkbox is selected on the customer Transmitters form.
  • Other - Any other Transmitter Level Monitoring Service.

Area Level Monitoring Services

  • Open/Close Schedule Allowed - Determines the billing and state of the open/close event monitoring for a Customer record.  The default two items are Log-Only and Monitor.
  • Open/Close Manual Verify - Based on the type of event, open/close or both, the system generates the events as alarms.
  • Other - Any other Area Level Monitoring Service.
