The Areas and Zones stop within the System add process allows you to enter the physical location details.
Areas
Areas are a defined portion of the monitored location. Areas are also known as Partitions. In the absence of an area at most sites, Area 1 will be the default and we encourage the addition to the areas of your new transmitter.
Zones
Zones are the physical location of the equipment at the monitored location. These are places you can direct a person to inspect the specific portion of the monitored location. Examples are Front Door, Back Door, Upstairs Pullstation, Entry Panic Button, etc.
Manitou allows you to import properly formatted data through a copy and paste feature. This is found by clicking the handshake (🤝) icon.
When the Areas and Zones are entered as needed, click Next.
